Starting writing seriously in 1987 when I got my first computer, long hand before that. Hayloft filled with old stories. Published in 2011 after being prodded by my wife when she read the first of the Lightning in the Tunnel series books, before just wrote as a stress relief and for the fun of it. Wrote ten books in the Lightning in the Tunnel series along with A Stranger comes Crawling, my first Sci-Fi. Then T.T. Gristman, my time travel/ love storybook. Followed by my updated version of my hand written mystery book called “Brandi’s Nightmare”. They were all followed by the highly successful series called “Chronicles of the Marauder” which book three of the trilogy is due out around the first of 2014. My wife pressured me to finish the Lightning in the Tunnel first so it is in editing right now.

Someone else helping us with this tour Paticia Green from Room With Books http://roomwithbooks.com/slonaker-the-angelmen-series/

”Room With Books began with my interest in Facebook. I made many Facebook friends and with the help and encouragement of my cousin, Linda Boulanger, a publisher, cover designer, editor, and most importantly, an author, I began sharing posts from many of the authors and tour organizers, and I soon realized I had an avid interest in promoting new and established authors, helping with book cover reveals, book releases and other book publishing events. Thus Room With Books was born.”

Authors Promotion present Andrew Reid Wildman-Virtual Book Tour and we are looking for reviews and bloggers. There are some giveaway prize as an autographed paperback and because Andrew is an artist as well, one of his paintings upon his choice. The tour is running until the end of this month.

Bloggers and reviewers are more than welcome to give it a push.

Blog Tour

Short Stories – Hull and East Riding – Andrew Reid Wildman

A voice from a writer who deserves discovery.

These pieces show Andrew at his best; as an interpreter and observer of human nature, always funny, he describes life in this beautiful area of Yorkshire through decades and people characters who sometimes did or didn’t fit the profile of the neighborhood.

The readers will find the collection full of familiar themes and characters.

Spicy Green Ginger – For people who belong to Yorkshire

Spicy Green Ginger is sour and sweet, deliciously, wickedly misanthropic, and at times sad and tender. The characters are of course entirely fictitious, but who has not at times felt like them? For instance poor Betty Bridgenorth, a hard-working, proud baker who is savaged by a nameless internet troll, and sets out to seek revenge? Or Edna Isenthorpe, who just wants to enjoy her train journey in peace. Some of the historical stories are based loosely on murderous events or legends from the county; others seek to recreate the atmosphere of places now lost, for example the famous Kardomah Cafe.

Praise:
“I couldn’t put it down. So I finished it last night and all I can say is WOW! This book was amazing and different.” Brianna (Book Blogger)
“I loved how the author took a different approach to writing a love story in modern times with the paranormal element present. I thought it was absolutely wonderful and refreshing. Marvelous!” Kathy H (Amazon Reviewer)
“I will admit I scoffed at the way it started but in the end I had fallen in love with this story…completely untraditional it was a very original idea, not to mention modern. This story had such a good plot and the story structure was sound.” Kacii – The Kooky Bookworm (Book Blogger)
Excerpts (Choose 1)

Happy with the amount of photos I had collected I started to head back out of the forest, still flicking through my shots. As well as close ups, I had taken a few landscapes and as I was almost at the edge of the forest I noticed something in one of the photographs that made me stop.
In the left hand corner was a figure that looked mostly human, but was blurred as if they were moving on the spot.
A cold shudder shot through me.
Looking over my shoulder I became slightly panicked and felt as if someone was following me.
My eyes flicked and searched the shadows. Even though there was no sign that anything had ever been behind me, the forest looked different now – dark and threatening.
Instinctively I broke away and ran, still clutching the camera that was displaying the freaky image. Surrounded by trees I didn’t stop until I was free of the forest and back in the open light and sight of my house.
Throwing open my door, I slumped against the inside of it, regaining my breath from the short sprint. Once I had recovered I looked down at the photo once more, just to make sure that I hadn’t been seeing things. The old saying “the camera never lies,” came into my mind and for the first time I wished it not to be true. Sure enough though, as I looked down at the screen, the figure was still there and this time I noticed a red and orange glow around where its feet should have been. The image almost looked like the person was on fire but I thought I would have surely noticed if there had been a burning man in front of me.

Excerpt 2
As he spoke I checked out the surroundings. It was just starting to get dark outside but I could still see the black outlines of the trees that surrounded us on either side of the narrow road.
“Why are we in a forest?” I asked, a slight hint of fear creeping into my voice as I was unnerved by the fact that we were in a place where Elementals were most likely to inhabit.
“Because the house is located in the forest. Don’t worry we’ll be safe there, I’ve hardly had any Elemental sightings when I’ve stayed here,” he said, but something about it didn’t sound very encouraging.
“And how often do you stay here?” I said slowly, my tone wary.
“Whenever I’m in the area.” His avoidance of a definite answer unnerved me even more as I knew what he was going on to say.
“I have to say, that isn’t very often, but the four times I’ve been here since buying the place have been peacefully silent.”
I was dumbfounded by his statement and my eyes were wide in shock as I watched him to see if he was joking. I saw nothing that led me to believe that or to make me doubt his words though.
“You’ve only been here four times?! How do you know this is a safe place then? It could be crawling with Elementals for all you know.”
He laughed at my sudden outburst of panic.

About the Author

Mia Hoddell lives in the UK with her family and two cats. She spends most of her time writing or reading and loves anything paranormal. Mia always had a love of writing but never reading. She was more interested in sports and hated sitting still – despite getting three poems published before the age of sixteen. Finally though, she found some novels that captured her interest and developed a love of reading which is now one of her favourite hobbies.
Mia began with poems before moving on to short stories. Although she enjoyed this, Mia found she had too much to tell with too little space, so later on she created her first series ‘The Wanderer Trilogy’ and from there other ideas have emerged. With a total of nine books planned at this moment, she is busy working on her second series ‘Elemental Killers’ before moving onto the next idea on her ever growing list.
